Resumen
Introducción: La endometriosis es una enfermedad inflamatoria crónica, multifactorial y compleja
Objetivo: Analizar el perfil sociodemográfico y de estilo de vida de mujeres con endometriosis.
Método: Se trata de un estudio descriptivo exploratorio cuantitativo, que involucró a mujeres que participaron de una intervención educativa, basada en incentivar la adopción de hábitos saludables. El estudio incluyó a 41 mujeres que respondieron el Cuestionario de Ocho Remedios Naturales (Q8RN) antes de la intervención. El análisis estadístico descriptivo se realizó con el programa R.
Resultados: Predominó el grupo etario entre 36 y 45 años (38%), siendo la mayoría de las mujeres casadas (80%), evangélicas (89%), blancos (63%) y posgraduados (37%). Entre las otras enfermedades mencionadas destacaron la ansiedad (32%), la depresión (18%) y la obesidad (13%). La salud física, la salud mental y la calidad de vida se autoperciben como regulares (46%, 37% y 37%, respectivamente). Presentaron un buen estilo de vida, con un puntaje total promedio de 55 puntos y énfasis en el dominio “templanza y confianza en Dios”, que estuvo muy por encima del promedio, en contraste con el dominio “ejercicio físico”, que estuvo por debajo del promedio.
Conclusión: Si bien el perfil de estilo de vida de las mujeres pareció ser bueno, la presencia de otras enfermedades mencionadas posiblemente sea un reflejo del bajo puntaje presentado en el dominio de ejercicio físico, así como de sus percepciones sobre salud física, salud mental y calidad de vida, refirió. a tan regular por la mayoría de las mujeres
